Matt Cartsonis is a great preserver of traditional American music. Matt has led an extraordinary musical life. He has played with Pete Seeger, John McEuen, Warren Zevon and many others. I first saw Matt at Music City Roots in Nashville where he was a part of a special show to celebrate John McEuen’s 70th birthday. Little did I know I would then see him again in Nashville, this time getting to meet he and John backstage. That backstage meeting led to this interview. Matt has done so much for the music community and it was an honor to get to talk with him.
